CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. New York State Police stopped a total of 44 vehicles during their Buckle Up New York initiative held for six hours on Thursday in the Town of Cortlandt. Troopers issued 30 seatbelt violations, 14 other traffic violations, and arrested one person for criminal possession of marijuana.
John Carbone, of Montrose, was found to have several small bags of marijuana subsequent to being stopped for a seatbelt violation. Carbone was transported to State Police barracks in Cortlandt, and is due in court on October 3 at 9 a.m.
