Three Charged with DWI in Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – New York State Police said a Buchanan woman is facing two felony charges because she was driving while intoxicated, southbound on Route 9.

Cheryl Deperna, 59, of Buchanan, was driving south through the Village of Croton-on-Hudson, just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Deperna is charged with felony DWI, and felony operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more.

New York State Police also charged two other people in the Town of Cortlandt with DWI. Jason R. Rodriguez was charged with misdemeanor DWI, and misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08, at around 5:25 a.m. Sunday. Rodriguez was arrested on Waterbury Parkway in Cortlandt.

Shawn Albright, 35, of Peekskill, was charged with misdemeanor DWI while driving north on Route 9, through the Town of Cortlandt, just after 3 a.m. Saturday.

In other police news:

Bail Jumping: Michael J. Boddie, 36, of Verplanck, was arrested in the Town of Cortlandt courthouse and charged with felony bail jumping in the second degree. The incident took place at about 9 a.m. Monday
