A colony of recreation vehicles -- some of them occupied by folks working on the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Spectra pipeline projects -- has sprung up at the county-owned facility, the newspaper reported.
While the park has always been used for camping – there are tents and cabins for the warmer months – its status as a year-round facility is relatively new, the report said.
Until 2013, the RV encampment closed on Dec. 1 and reopened in early March.
