Police: Stolen License Plate in Croton

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Croton Police say the owner of Atro Collision Center on South Riverside Avenue reported a license plate missing from one of the cars in his lot. The owner told police that he believed it had been stolen sometime Sunday afternoon, because all the bolts were missing from where the license plate is normally attached. The incident was reported at about 4:30 p.m., Feb. 25.

Doorbell Ditch Croton Police say a resident of Lounsbury Road reported that someone rang her doorbell a little after 7 p.m., and when she answered the door saw a dark colored sedan driving away. The resident said to police she was concerned because of the recent burglaries in the neighborhood. Patrols were unable to locate the vehicle. The incident was reported a little after 7 p.m. on Feb. 23.

Accidents in Van Wyck Shopping Center Croton Police received three reports of minor accidents in the Van Wyck Shopping Center on Saturday and Sunday. A caller reported a minor accident at 4 p.m. Saturday, and two minor accidents on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Harassment Croton Police say they received a report that the ex-boyfriend of a Croton-Harmon High School student was harassing the student, and that the mother believed the ex-boyfriend might go to the high school and harm students.

Police say it was discovered during an investigation that there was no threat to high school students at large, but that the ex-boyfriend was harassing his former girlfriend, who happened to be a student at the high school.

Police say Joshua Musikar, 20, of Peekskill, called or texted the girl about 150 times in 24 hours. Police charged Musikar with misdemeanor aggravated harassment, an order of protection was put in place and he was released without bail, due back in Croton Court on Wednesday, March 7. The incident was reported the morning of Feb. 29.

Scaring the Birds Croton Police say a Half Moon Bay resident heard a loud bang, like a firework or gunshot, and looked out his window to find a puff of smoke and an older man getting into a car. Croton Police responded and questioned the man. The man said he was the manager of Half Moon Bay, and he was using a “bird banger” which is used to scare birds away. The incident was reported Friday morning.
