PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A Peekskill man stole a Greyhound bus from a terminal on Christmas Day and drove it about 70 miles to visit a friend in Watertown, according to Syracuse Police.
The arrest of Andrew Hickey, 39, of Peekskill by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was reported by several news outlets on Tuesday morning.
The department has no public information officer on staff and only allows the deputy who makes each specific arrest to speak to the press, according to the department's dispatcher. The deputy who made the arrest was not on duty Tuesday afternoon.
