Investigation on Broken Windows on Brook Street

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.— Brook Street resident reported several of his business' windows broken out on Sunday evening. The matter is still under investigation by Croton police.

Thursday, June 16

7:17 p.m. Matthew Theis was pulled over on Route 9 Northbound during a traffic stop, and after an investigation conducted at the scene, Theis was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon, another misdemeanor.

Friday, June 17

4:06 a.m. Timothy Wynn was stopped on Riverside Avenue South, near Croton Auto Park, on a routine traffic stop. A registration check revealed a suspended license. He was charged with obstructing a governmental administration, and criminal impersonation. His bail was set at $50,000.

11:11 a.m. A traffic stop on Route 9 Southbound revealed that Flavio Morocho had a suspended license and the defendant was placed under arrest.

1:07 p.m. A resident of Beekman Avenue reported property missing from their car. Police had the missing property in question, a Sirius satellite radio, and the property was returned.

3:24 p.m. A Morningside Drive resident called to report her teenage daughter was going to smoke marijuana in the park or in the cemetery. Resident reported that she found her daughter’s paraphernalia the previous day, and had broken it.

Saturday, June 18

3:58 a.m. Police stopped driver Victor Tonndorf driving north on Route 9, and he was arrested for driving under the influence, criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, and possession of a controlled substance.

3:46 p.m. A Furnace Dock Road resident reported a small grease fire in the residence. There were no injuries, and the fire was out by the time the Croton Fire Department arrived.

Sunday, June 19

3:34 p.m. Michael Bakala was stopped while driving on Route 9 Northbound, and charged with driver while intoxicated.

7:09 p.m. Brook Street resident reports that the windows of his business have been broken, the matter if still under investigation.

Tuesday, June 21

8:10 p.m. Delaware County Corrections Department in Delhi, N.Y. reported that Dimitri Vitaliotis, who was being released from their custody, had an outstanding warrant in Croton. Vitaliotis was picked up by Croton P.D. and lodged overnight in Peekskill jail, he then arraigned on Wednesday.  He was charged with obstructing a governmental investigation, with two counts of criminal contempt for disobeying a court order.

Wednesday, June 22

Approximately 9:30 a.m. Joseph Kerney was arrested on a probation violation warrant, and was brought to Croton to be arraigned.

5:30 p.m.  A Hastings Avenue resident reported a ladder and a gas grill missing from her yard.
