It will be a test of the Indian Point Sirens.

The test will take place at 10:30 a.m. for sirens serving Westchester, Rockland, Putnam and Orange counties.

You wont need to take any action. In an actual emergency.

The sirens would sound continuously at full volume for four minutes, followed by the broadcast of an Emergency Alert System (EAS) message on radio and television stations.

Sirens are not a signal to evacuate, but rather for people to tune to an EAS radio or TV station for information and instructions.
