Hot Coffee May Have Caused Car Rollover on Route 9

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A woman sustained minor injuries after her car rolled over on Monday morning, on southbound Route 9. After an investigation, Croton police determined that no other cars were involved in the accident, and that the woman may have lost control after spilling hot coffee.

Police were unable to confirm how fast the woman was driving when, just after 9 a.m., police say she turned “slightly sideways” and hit a guardrail near the Route 129 and Municipal Place exit in Croton, flipping her two-door, white Subaru coupe.

According to Croton Police, no charges have been filed in the accident, and no other cars were involved. Croton Police say road rage does not appear to have played a role in the accident.
