Holocaust Survivor To Do Peekskill Reading Sunday

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Holocaust Survivor and First Hebrew Congregation member Alice Singer-Genis will read excerpts from her newly published book, “I Won’t Die Hungry," on Sunday morning at the congregation.The reading will take place at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing.

In the book, Singer-Genis recounts her life from her childhood in Europe in the 1930s through the horrors of the Holocaust and the post-war years in Munich and her new life after coming to the United States. Copies of the book can be purchased on site for $13. It is also availiable through Amazon.com and Barnesandnoble.com The event is being sponsored by the Men’s Club and Sisterhood of First Hebrew Congregation.
