PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Holocaust Survivor and First Hebrew Congregation member Alice Singer-Genis will read excerpts from her newly published book, I Wont Die Hungry," on Sunday morning at the congregation.The reading will take place at 10 a.m. and will be followed by a question-and-answer session and a book signing.
In the book, Singer-Genis recounts her life from her childhood in Europe in the 1930s through the horrors of the Holocaust and the post-war years in Munich and her new life after coming to the United States. Copies of the book can be purchased on site for $13.
