Frampton Comes Alive in Peekskill This Weekend

"Everybody in the world has ‘Frampton Comes Alive!’” explained Mike Myers in the hit film “Wayne’s World 2”. “If you lived in the suburbs you were issued it. It came in the mail with samples of Tide." That might be a slight exaggeration, but Peter Frampton’s 1976 double live album is among the top five best-selling live album of all time, even after 35 years of competition.

The British guitar virtuoso comes to Peekskill’s Paramount Center for the Arts Saturday night for a very special performance for the venue’s Eighth Annual Red Carpet Night Gala and Fundraising Concert. Frampton is best known for such hits as "Show Me the Way," "Baby, I Love Your Way," “I’m into you” and "Do You Feel Like We Do.” The live version of the latter-- all 14 minutes and 15 seconds of it-- remains a favorite on classic rock radio. The three-hour show will feature a complete performance of “Frampton Comes Alive!” in its entirety, along with highlights from Frampton’s catalog, including his 2006 Grammy Award-winning instrumental album, “Fingerprints”.

Shows starts at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $95-150. Advance sales for Paramount members will only run until Friday at noon. Member discounts are not available for this performance For tickets or more information, call (877)-840-0457 or go to www.paramountcenter.org. For gala information, call (914) 402-2081.
