BUCHANAN – An electrical issue resulted in the shutdown of the Indian Point 3 reactor, according to officials.
Entergy, which owns the plant, says the shut down occurred automatically about 7 p.m. Monday, according to lohud.com.
Entergy says a high-voltage transmission line caused the issue on the non-nuclear side of the plant, says lohud.com.
Earlier this month, there was a shutdown of the Indian Point 2 reactor that lasted three days because of a tripped circuit breaker.
Here's the lohud story.
