PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Douglas C. Hoffman, 85, a longtime Peekskill resident, passed away on Oct. 25. Hoffman was a veteran and a firefighter.
Hoffman served in the United States Air Force from 1943 to 1946, was Chief of the Peekskill Fire Department in the early 1970s, and was a life member of Cortlandt Hook and Ladder Fire Company. On June 10, 1949, Hoffman married his wife of 62 years, Better Jane Ulm.
Hoffman is also survived by his two sons, Wayne (Pam) Hoffman, and Gary (Kathy) Hoffman, and his daughter Sue (Robert) DAngiolillo. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
