CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. Croton Police responded to a fight in progress in front of J&Js Deli in the upper village, on Wednesday just before noon. Stephen Agosto, 19, of Grant Street, was arrested for fighting with another male high school student. The altercation began with a dispute between Agosto and a female minor.
Agosto was called the aggressor in the fight, and was charged with disorderly conduct and assault, both misdemeanors. Agosto is due in court on Jan. 25.

Friday, Jan 13 A Croton resident reported to Croton police that someone had stolen their prescription glasses near the Croton Auto Park, just after 4 p.m.
An Oriole Lane resident reported that a wallet was removed from their car overnight, which contained a number of credit cards and identification cards. Police do not believe the vehicle was locked overnight. The event was reported just after 10 p.m. Croton police are advising residents to lock their cars in the evening, and their homes when they are away.
Saturday, Jan. 14 Carlos Cruz, 30, of Ossining, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Police say Cruz was driving erratically on Route 9, crossing fog lines, just after 1 a.m. Police say they also found open containers of beer in the car. He was released on $200 bail, and is due back in court on Jan. 25.
An Oriole Lane resident reported that sometime overnight her iPod was stolen from her vehicle, and that her husbands car had been rummaged through. The resident does not believe anything was stolen from her husbands car. The event was reported just after 11 a.m.
Sunday, Jan. 15 Geovanny Lliguisaca, 32, of Bedford, was cited for driving 48 miles per hour on Route 129, a 30 mile per hour zone, and was found to have a suspended driving permit, just before 1 p.m. Lliguisaca was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, was arrested and released on $100 bail.
A bicyclist was issued three summonses just after 11 p.m., for failure to keep right, no hand signals and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Monday, Jan. 16 A Yonkers resident was arrested near St. Augustines Church in Ossining, by Croton police, for speeding, unlawful possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Sares K. Jamal, 23, was released on $500 bail and is due back in Croton Village Justice Court on Jan. 25.
Wednesday, Jan. 18 A resident reported a strange sound coming from the sewer in front of the former Croton Dodge building. Patrols responded and informed the resident that there was a raccoon in the sewer. The event was reported just after 6 p.m.
