Croton Police Investigate Dark Window Tint

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Croton Police say that a vehicle was stopped in the village for a window tint violation Tuesday afternoon, when patrols discovered the driver’s license had been suspended.

Tracy Guarino, 25, of Thornwood, was arrested for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a vehicle. Patrols say Guarino’s license was suspended after she failed to answer two summonses from a different township. She was released on $100 bail.

In other police news:

Sunday, Nov. 20, 3:12 p.m. A caller at the dead end of Thompson Avenue reported a large sink hole in the street. Patrols closed off a section of the road, and the Department of Public Works was notified.

Monday, Nov. 21, 2:45 p.m. While patrolling Route 9 southbound, officers encountered a car who’s hood had just opened and smashed the windshield. The vehicle pulled off the roadway without incident. The driver was from South Amboy, N.J.

Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10:40 p.m. A resident of Amber Drive called Croton police to report that her sink overflowed, and her carbon monoxide detector was now alarming. Croton Fire Department responded to investigate the incident.

Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1:11 a.m. A caller reported to police that a transformer was arching in front of 67 Lexington Drive. Con Edison was called to the scene and Croton Fire Department responded.
