Cortlandt Asks for Input on Green Initiatives

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – The Town of Cortlandt is polling residents for ideas on how to "green" the town government. A new survey released by the town will ask residents for ideas on how to reduce fossil fuel consumption in a cost effective manner.

"We are requesting that the community participate in this important survey. This information will be very helpful as we plan for current and future sustainability and climate action planning,” said Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi in a release about the survey.

Residents and business owners will take two separate surveys. For more information about sustainability initiatives in the town visit the Northern Westchester Energy Action Coalition website.

Those wishing to provide input will need to act quickly, the survey is only open until Feb. 5. The survey is funded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
