Christmas Wreaths Stolen from Croton Garden Shop

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Croton police say six Christmas wreaths were reported stolen from Croton Country Gardens sometime during Sunday night. The wreaths were stolen from behind a fenced in area, the owner requested that patrols make stops periodically in the area, which Croton police say is already being done.

Thursday, Dec. 8 The Green Growler reported a three foot by five foot American flag missing from the business. The person reporting the incident said they believed the flag was there in the morning, and that the flag and its pole was now missing, and the pole holder was damaged. The incident was reported at 5:07 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 9 Department of Public Works employees reported that a swing arm of a DPW truck swung out and struck a car on Old Post Road, in front of the Asbury Methodist Church, just before 9 a.m. No information on the type of vehicle the arm struck was available.

A Wolf Road resident reported the odor of gas in her neighborhood just before 5:30 p.m. She noted that there was recently work on the road in her neighborhood. Con Edison gas was notified.

Saturday, Dec. 10 A patron of the Grand Stand on Grand Street reported that her purse had been stolen, just before 1:30 a.m. Patrols responded and found the woman’s purse on the floor on the women’s bathroom. The Briarcliff resident declined to pursue the matter any further, and it is unclear whether anything was missing from the purse.

Wednesday, Dec. 14 Croton police arrested Michele Pascale, 59, of Ossining, on an active bench warrant for Westchester County. Pascale was pulled over after an anonymous caller reported Pascale was driving erratically. The warrant was issued for misdemeanor aggravated harassment. Pascale was remanded to Westchester County Police just after 7 a.m. at the Van Wyck Shopping Plaza.
