- State Police arrested a Cortlandt man, Matthew A. Perez, 23, and accused him of making a false written statement, police officials said.
- Westchester County foreclosures are coming in at a rapid pace in 2013, with this year’s third-quarter total of 2,046 already exceeding the full-year totals of 1,812 in 2012 and 1,655 in 2011.
- Peekskill resident Nikki Lee recently opened RameNesque, a new casual Japanese restaurant at 1008 Main St. The restaurant specializes in ramen noodles and Japanese curry.
- A Cortlandt man was arrested Thursday in connection with an attempt to break into a Putnam County home two weeks ago, state police said.
