CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. William J. Scumaci of Cortlandt Manor died June 5. He was 54.
He was born Sept. 4, 1957, in Mount Vernon to William and Joan Scumaci. On June 17, 1989, Scumaci married Doreen Fourazzo at Immaculate Conception Church. He worked for the New York City Fire Department for 21 years, retiring in August 2001. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan.
Scumaci is survived by his parents, William and Joan; his wife, Doreen; a son, William; two daughters, Christina and Danielle; a brother Robert (Jennifer) Scumaci; and two sisters, Nancy Scumaci and Karen (Robert) Seikovsky.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Yorktown Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Holy Spirit in Cortlandt Manor. Burial will follow at Rosehill Memorial Park Cemetery.
