VERPLANCK, N.Y. Cosmo Altieri of Verplanck died Jan. 16 at the age of 74.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1937 in Eboli, Italy to Vincenzo and Maria Altieri. On Feb. 7, 1960, Altieri married the late Patricia Roberts in Peekskill. He retired from Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining as the maintenance supervisor.
Altieri was a 30-year member of the Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Verplanck Fire Department.
He is survived by his daughters Sandy Cummins, Roseann Altieri and Susan Pardee, his son Vinny Altieri, his brother Mario, his sisters Gina, Anna and Maria five grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Joey and his daughter Cindy Altieri.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Montrose. Funeral services will start at 11 a.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Cortlandt Manor.
