Frank Ruyack, 92, Montrose Tool and Die Executive

MONTROSE, N.Y. – Frank Ruyack of Montrose died May 24 at Rosary Hill. He was 92.

He was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Yonkers to Michael and Anna Hunady Ruyack. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Mindoro from 1951 to 1955. Ruyack retired as executive manager of the machine tool and die division of Precision Valve Corp. 

He was married to the late Marian Murphy Ruyack. He enjoyed restoring vintage Volkswagen engines and tinkering with small motors. Ruyack also had a love for fishing, gardening and nature, especially birds. 

He was involved in many community, religious and supportive groups and was a member of the William J. Boyle American Legion Post 1030 in Verplanck. 

Ruyack is survived by three daughters, Margaret (Charles) Lent, of Buchanan, Frances Van Tassel, of Buchanan, and Elizabeth Morrison, of Lancaster, N.H.; a son, James (Pam) Ruyack, of Glenham, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. 

Visitation was held Monday at Cortlandt Funeral Home. A Mass was celebrated Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church in Verplanck, with burial at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Verplanck.
