Anne DePalma, 87, Buchanan Customer Service Agent

BUCHANAN, N.Y. – Anne Helen DePalma of Buchanan died April 25. She was 87. 

DePalma was born Oct. 3, 1924 in Ossining to Herbert and Anna Duffy Brundage. She retired from AT&T in 1988 after 20 years of service. During her work as a customer service representative, she received many awards and accolades. 

She is survived by a sister, Nora Brunelle; her longtime partner, Richard Sweda; four daughters, Lynn (Joseph) Colarusso, Nancy DePalma, Carol D'Angelo and Elaine Pustai; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Charles Brundage; and four sisters, June Kelly, Doris Gonsalves, Eleanor Toub and Mary Jane Tobin. 

Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Montrose. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at Holy Name of Mary Church in Croton-on-Hudson at a time to be announced. Burial will follow at St. Augustine's Cemetery in Ossining.
