Restaurant Week Comes to Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Not that an intrepid restaurant-goer ever needs an excuse to dine out on great food, but if you do, Cortlandt is the place and Restaurant Week – March 18-31 – is the time (however it would behoove you to make your reservations well in advance.)

That’s right, the seventh annual Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is just around the corner. And this year, it’s bigger than ever. “We were just blown away,” said Nancy Gold, a spokesperson for the event, of the overwhelming interest. “We’re up to 198 participating restaurants in seven counties.”

Participating restaurants in Cortlandt include Cortlandt Colonial Restaurant and Ballroom. Among the picks on chef Evan Liaskos menus is stuffed South African lobster tail, which includes a 5-ounce tail stuffed with freshly prepared crabmeat stuffing, and roasted in lemon butter.

But don’t stop going out for dinner after only one or two meals. Also on the Cortlandt Restaurant Week list is Woods at Hollow Brook Golf Club.

Eat out for lunch ($20.95) or for dinner ($29.95), and remember to tip your server. Tax and beverages are not included in the special price.

The list of other participating restaurants in nearby towns reads like a dining guide to New York State: Bistro Rollin (Pelham), Le Jardin du Roi (Chappaqua), Ruby’s Oyster Bar & Bistro (Rye), Tarry Lodge (Port Chester), Trevi Ristorante (West Harrison), Moderne Barn (Armonk) and hundreds more.
