AMC announced that it will be reopening its Port Chester location on Westchester Avenue - with COVID-19 safety provisions in place - beginning on Friday, Feb. 5.
It is the 13th AMC theater to reopen in New York since the pandemic broke out and forced them all to close.
When the theater reopens, it will do so at 25 percent maximum capacity, as per state COVID-19 mandates.
All AMC theaters are following new COVID-19 protocols, including blocking out seats in the theater to create social distancing between parties, extra time between showtimes for cleaning and sanitizing, nightly disinfecting, and hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility for staff and moviegoers.
Guests can also book a private showing for up to 20 people.
“On your next theatre visit, you’ll notice that we’ve taken steps to reduce touchpoints and protect your safety, including simplified menus for shorter lines at concessions and reduced auditorium capacities for social distancing,” AMC officials said.
The theater will show current titles including "The Little Things," "The Marksman," "News of the World," "Supernova," "Wonder Woman 1984," and "The Croods: A New Age."
Beginning on Friday, Feb. 12, "Judas and the Black Messiah," "Land," "The Mauritanian," and "The World to Come," will also be available for viewing.
According to the Westchester Department of Health, there are currently 295 active COVID-19 cases in Port Chester, among the highest rates in the county. In Westchester, there are a total of 9,391 active cases.
