The Carole King-Gerry Goffin composition was written as a satirical take on the married couple's suburban life in 1966, and was recorded by the Monkees in 1967, becoming one of the most successful songs in the band's history.
“'Pleasant Valley Sunday' is timeless because it covers topics that are still relevant today,” said Duraes in a statement. “The song is an understated comment on ‘keeping up with the Joneses’, while maintaining a constant, driving pop groove. However, no one’s heard it like this before.”
It's his first studio recording since releasing his album 'Ebb and Flow' in 2013.
