Monday, March 4

Beading For Women’s Shelters: 6 p.m. Beading instructor Joan Lloyd makes about 500 pairs of earrings per year that she donates to battered women's shelters countrywide.  Her motto: “for every pair you keep, you donate a pair.” Learn to make earrings to aid this  cause while treating yourself at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library. Contribute any old bead jewelry (broken is fine) to add to her supply.  Attend one or more sessions – for adults and teens. Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road.

Cortlandt Town Board Work Session: 7 p.m. The Cortlandt Town Board meets to discuss current events in the town. Cortlandt Town Hall, 1 Heady St., Cortlandt Manor.

Croton Board of Trustees Regular Meeting: 8 p.m. The meeting takes place at the Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, 1 Van Wyck St., Croton.

Zentangles At Hendrick Hudson: 6 p.m. Local artist Lavinia Wiggins will guide participants through an art form that includes drawing repetitive patterns to create designs. No drawing experience necessary. For adults and teens grade 6 and up. Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road.

Hendrick Hudson Board of Education Regular Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Hendrick Hudson School District will talk about several issues facing the district. Regular Board meetings are generally held in the Hendrick Hudson High School Library.  2166 Albany Post Road, Montrose.

Thursday, March 7

Matinee Movie: 1:30 p.m. The Hendrick Hudson Free Library shows “The Bourne Legacy” (PG-13). Hendrick Hudson Free Library, 185 Kings Ferry Road.

Croton Harmon Board of Education Regular Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Croton-Harmon School Board will meet to discuss several issues facing the district during its regular meeting. Croton-Harmon High School, 36 Old Post Rd South, Croton-on-Hudson.
