Get Tickets Now KFM Foundation Masquerade Ball At Cortlandt's Colonial Terrace

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Time is running out to get tickets for The Kathleen F. Marks Memorial Foundation’s first public fund-raising event, a Halloween masquerade ball.

The event will be held at the Mansion at Colonial Terrace on Oct. 26, from 7 p.m.-midnight. 

The foundation’s mission is to raise funds for cancer research in areas most in need of funding, and was formed by Marks' daughters, Crystal Schwer and Isis Kline. Proceeds from the event will benefit Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center Pediatric AML research in Baltimore, Md. Halloween holds special significance for KFM, since it was Marks' favorite holiday and October will mark the 11th anniversary of her death of cervical cancer. Marks was raised in Yorktown Heights, but lived most of her life in Peekskill.

The foundation will be providing guests with a spooky and dramatic “Phantom of the Opera” style theme in the mansion’s mid-19th century ballroom coupled with unique and exciting entertainment: an aerial show, fire dancers, ballroom dance performances and group dances just to name a few provided By Wow FactorTalent of Tarrytown. DJ 845 will provide musical selections for the evening,

After dinner, Dream Cakes Bakery of Cortlandt Manor will provide a custom show piece cake. Party Stop of Cortlandt Manor will have a selection of masks for purchase, and a portion of each mask will be donated to the proceeds for the ball.

Tickets are $130 for a singles and $250 for couples, and a limited number of full tables of 10 for $1200 can be purchased through Oct. 15 by mail or online through Oct. 18 directly on the foundations website, www.KFMFoundation.org.

Thanks in part to Yorktown Radiation Oncology Center & Chase Media Group, journal ads and sponsorships will be accepted through Sept. 30, and silent auction offerings accepted through Oct. 5.
