Among the events are a hobgoblin parade, 5K road race and even something for dog lovers.
The town’s annual 5K road race starts at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Cortlandt Waterfront Park, which is at Riverview Avenue and Broadway in Verplanck.
Registration and check-in starts around 8:30 a.m., organizers said.
Each participant will get a free T-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three men and women in various age groups.

The folks from the Premier Athletic Club will be available before the race to do warm-ups for the runners, organizers said.
Also on Saturday, Oct. 29, there will be a hobgoblin parade for children ages two to 14.
It starts at 1 p.m. sharp at the Cortlandt Town Center, Route 6, Cortlandt Manor.
Participants should gather by the movie theater.
Trophies and candy will be given to all children in costume.
The event is free.
Just so the family pet doesn’t feel left out – the recreation folks are launching the town’s first Halloween parade for pooches.
Costumed doggies will be showing off their spookiest duds from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Cortlandt Dog Park, 130 Sprout Brook Road, Cortlandt Manor.
There will be treats for all participants.
