Man Ejected From Car, Thrown Into Ravine After Crash On Highway In Region First responders carried out a careful rescue operation after a man fell over 50 feet down a ravine following a crash on a highway in Northern Westchester.  The incident happened on Thursday, Feb. 29 at around 6:30 p.m., when a three-car crash occurred on Interstate 684 in Bedford at the overpass spanning Beaver Dam Park. As a result of the crash, one man was ejected from his vehicle and sent into a ravine underneath the overpass, according to the Katonah Fire Department. Officer Saves Unresponsive Baby At Home In Region: 'Every Second Counted' Thanks to quick and skillful action, an officer was able to save the life of a baby who had become unresponsive at a Northern Westchester residence. The incident began at around 1:50 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 18, when a Mount Kisco family reported that their 1-year-old child was non-responsive and not breathing, according to Westchester County Police. Soon after this, police arrived at the residence, the exact location of which was not released, and Officer Stephen Samuel took the baby from her relatives to begin CPR.
