Know Him? Graffiti Tagger In Region Wanted, Police Say Police are asking the public for help identifying a graffiti tagger who damaged property throughout the region. The incidents took place in Ulster County in Ellenville, a village in the town of Wawarsing on Saturday, Nov. 4 around 6 p.m. on Canal Street and Maiden Lane. Know this graffiti? Town Installs Cameras At Park In Region To Help Fend Off Property Damage A town government in the Hudson Valley has installed high-resolution cameras at one of its favorite parks after what started out as youthful vandalism such as graffiti that could easily be painted over progressed to gang signs and heavy damage to property. The incidents took place in Dutchess County in the town of Pleasant Valley at the Mill Site and Memorial Park. Police Investigating Anti-Gay Graffiti At Pride Center In Region Police are investigating after anti-gay graffiti written in large blue letters was found on the front of the Rockland County Pride Center in Nyack. Hochul Responds After Vandals Leave Racist Graffiti At Elementary School In Capital Region Cleanup is underway at an elementary school in the region after vandals left behind racist graffiti and broken windows. The damage happened at Forts Ferry Elementary, part of the North Colonie Central School District in Albany County, sometime over the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 29, Superintendent Joseph Corr said in a statement to parents. In addition to the smashed windows, the vandals wrote racial slurs and drew “deplorable images” on the building’s exterior, Corr said. Teen Trio Accused Of Vandalizing Over Dozen Cars In Capital District Three teenagers are facing criminal charges after allegedly vandalizing more than dozen vehicles in the Capital District. State police in Saratoga County were called Monday, Aug. 29, with reports that 14 vehicles had been damaged in the town of Schuylerville and Victory Mills. Damage was also reported to the Village of Schuylerville Visitors Center, located in Schuyler’s Canal Park, police said.
