19-Year-Old Leads Troopers On Chase Before Crashing In Capital Region, Police Say A teen driver is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading troopers on a chase before crashing his car in the region. The Washington County incident happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday, May 12, in the town of Easton. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a vehicle on State Route 40 for traffic violation when the driver failed to stop, leading to a pursuit. Man From Region Busted For Beating Woman, Taking Police On Pursuit, Cops Say A man has been charged in connection with the alleged violent beating of a woman and then taking deputies on a pursuit in the Hudson Valley. Ulster County resident, Matthew A. Dequarto, age 23, of Rosendale, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16, for the Monday, Tuesday, Feb. 13 assault, said Lt. Joseph Sciutto of the Ulster County Sheriff's Office.
