Driver Busted In Stolen U-Haul Truck On Capital Region Highway, Police Say What began as a routine traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a man in handcuffs and accused of driving a stolen U-Haul truck. A trooper in Albany County pulled the box truck over at around 10:45 a.m. Friday, May 24, on I-87 in Colonie for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. New York State Police said further investigation determined that the U-Haul truck had been reported stolen to the Colonie Police Department just one day prior. Duo Nabbed For Burglary At Warehouse In Cairo, Police Say Two Hudson Valley men were nabbed for allegedly stealing six German-made cabinets from a warehouse. The burglary took place in Greene County around 5:15 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 22 in the town of Cario. The owner of the property informed state police that six German-made cabinets were missing from the warehouse, said Trooper Steven Nevel. During the investigation, troopers learned that the cabinets were removed from the warehouse and placed into a U-Haul, Nevel said.
