A stretch of I-95 in Connecticut has now fully reopened three days after a fire involving a tanker with 8,500 gallons of gas days earlier. Northbound lanes on the stretch in Norwalk reopened Saturday evening, May 4. Lanes opened on the southbound side reopened late Sunday morning, May 5, earlier than had been expected. Man From Region Killed After Leading Troopers On Pursuit, Hitting Tree: Police A 66-year-old Hudson Valley man was killed when he crashed into a tree after leading authorities on a short pursuit in Northern Westchester, police said. According to authorities, an incident occurred on Tuesday, April 30, around 3:40 p.m. when New York State Police attempted to pull over a 2019 Nissan Altima on Route 100 in Somers.  The car was allegedly not staying in its lane. 6-Year-Old Airlifted Following I-87 Crash In Region A 6-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital with severe lacerations following a crash on I-87 in the Hudson Valley. The collision occurred around 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 22, on I-87 in Orange County in the town of Newburgh. According to Trooper Tara McCormick of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation at the scene determined that a 2022 Toyota Tundra was parked on the right shoulder when the driver, Connecticut resident Peter W. Nugent, age 42, of the town of Sharon in Litchfield County, reentered the roadway into the path of a 2011 Toyota Venza.  The Venza overturned…
