Son Slices Mother's Throat In Region Trying To Kill Her, Police Say A man is behind bars after allegedly slicing his mother's throat in an attempt to kill her in the region, police said. The attack took place in Ulster County in Ellenville around 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21 on Roslyn Street. According to Capt. Daniel Waage of the Ellenville Police, police responded to the home on a report of a domestic incident. When officers arrived they found a woman suffering from serious knife wounds to the neck, Waage said.  The woman was rendered first aid and transported to Westchester County Medical Center where she is currently being treated, police said…

28-Year-Old Chokes Woman Unconscious At Capital Region Home, Police Say An altercation inside a home in the region ended with a woman being choked unconscious, police said. Deputies in Saratoga County were called at around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, for a welfare check at a home in Clifton Park located on Huntridge Drive, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators determined that Matthew Sand, age 28, choked the victim “with the intention of impeding her normal breathing or blood circulation,” causing her to lose consciousness. Capital District Man Accused Of Assaulting, Strangling 1-Year-Old A Capital District man is facing charges after allegedly becoming so violent with a 1-year-old that he strangled the child. Saratoga County resident William Burden, age 30, of Ballston, was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 9, after someone reported the alleged incident to police.
