Rockland County resident Dairin Aguirre, age 21, of Spring Valley, was charged with the new crimes on Monday, May 20. According to Det. Apartment Fire In Region Injures 2, Leaves 50 Homeless A resident and a firefighter were injured during a fire at a three-story Hudson Valley apartment building. The blaze occurred in Rockland County around 9:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, at the Surrey Carlton Apartments on Ewing Avenue in Spring Valley. According to the Spring Valley Police and Mark Lieb of Rockland Video Productions, officers found a fire with heavy flames and smoke coming from the living room of a top-floor apartment. Woman's Body Found In Wooded Area In Region Police are investigating after the body of a Black woman was found in a wooded area in the Hudson Valley. The woman's body was found in Rockland County on Wednesday, April 3, in the area of the baseball field on Dutch Lane in the village of Spring Valley. Rockland County resident Warle Fernandez-Arias, age 37, was charged with second-degree murder on Friday, Feb. 23 in Spring Valley after his wife, Carolyn Canela, age 36, was found dead.
