Student Injured In Leg While Riding On School Bus In Region Police are investigating after a Hudson Valley student riding on a school bus allegedly sustained a "superficial laceration to the leg." The incident took place in Orange County around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5 in the area of Dubois Street, in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, spokesman for the Newburgh Police Department, officers responded to a reported stabbing on a school bus. Officers located a 17-year-old student of Newburgh Free Academy, who had a superficial laceration on their lower leg. Tree Falls On School Bus In Region New, updated report - New Update: Fallen Tree Hits School Bus, Leaves 25 Children Stranded In Mahopac A burst of stormy weather caused a tree to fall on top of a school bus in the Hudson Valley and also left wires on the road around it.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, Sept. 8 around 4:30 p.m., when a tree fell on a Mahopac Central School District bus in Mahopac on Agor Lane between Alona Drive and Emily Lane, according to Carmel Police.
