The Greene County incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, on I-87 in the town of Catskill. State Police said a motorhome was towing a Jeep when it experienced a mechanical failure that ignited a fire. When troopers arrived, they found the RV on the right shoulder fully engulfed in flames. 18-Year-Old Dies In Single-Car Crash In Germantown An 18-year-old man died following a single-car crash on a highway in the region. Emergency crews in Columbia County were called at around 10:15 p.m. Thursday, April 7, with reports of a fatal crash on Route 9G in Germantown, according to State Police. An investigation found that Raphael McDonald, of Athens in Greene County, was speeding in the northbound lane when he lost control on a curve. The vehicle slid off the road and crashed into a utility pole. McDonald was ejected from the car and died at the scene, police said. 60-Year-Old Killed After Car Strikes Golf Cart In Kinderhook One person is dead and another is injured after a golf cart was struck by a car in the region, authorities said. The incident happened at around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, on Route 9 in Columbia County, in the town of Kinderhook. State Police said a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe was southbound when the golf cart entered the roadway near Maple Lane South and the vehicles collided. Duo Nabbed After Investigation At Bank In Area Ends With Crash Between BMW, School Bus Two men were apprehended and are facing charges after a grand larceny investigation at a bank in the Hudson Valley ended in a crash.
