Double The Fun: Pair Of $500K Winning Lottery Tickets Sold At Capital Region Convenience Store
You could say lottery lightning struck twice at a convenience store in the region. A pair of PICK 10 tickets – worth $500,000 each – was sold in Albany, at the Mobil station located at 247 New Scotland Avenue, New York Lottery announced. The lucky tickets were purchased for the drawing held on Sunday, April 14. PICK 10 numbers are drawn from a field of one to 80. To hit the jackpot a player must match their 10 numbers to 10 of the 20 winning numbers drawn. Players can check their ticket’s status on the New York Lottery website.

Man From Region With 27 Arrests Busted Again For Robbery, Police Say
A man with 27 prior arrests who is on parole has been busted again for allegedly robbing a Hudson Valley gas station. Ulster County resident Michael J. Brooks, age 62, of Plattekill, was charged on Friday, Feb. 23 in the town of Lloyd. According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, Brooks robbed the Mobil gas station on Grand Street in Highland of $2,800 on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Underage Drinking Detail: 4 Store Clerks Charged In Region
Workers at four businesses have been charged with illegally selling alcoholic beverages to minors during a New York State Police detail in Northern Westchester and Putnam. During the initiative conducted on Saturday, Feb. 4, a total of 17 retail establishments were checked for compliance utilizing a trooper in plain clothes and an underage operative utilizing a valid NY driver’s license.
