Blaze Sparks At Restaurant In Region Blaze Sparks At Restaurant In Region
Blaze Sparks At Restaurant In Region A blaze at a Northern Westchester restaurant was stopped from being worse than it could have been thanks to the quick actions of firefighters.  The fire happened on Monday, June 6 just after 2:30 a.m. at Coral Seafood Restaurant in Yorktown Heights at 63 Route 6, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, which helped respond to the blaze.  Thanks to the work of fire crews, more extensive damage to the building was prevented, the department said.  The cause of the fire was not released.

Blaze Tears Through Condominium Building In Region A residence inside a Hudson Valley condominium complex was left damaged by a fire. According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, the incident happened in Putnam County on Friday, April 26, just before 6:40 p.m., when a blaze began inside a unit at a condominium building in Mahopac on East Lake Boulevard. Arriving crews soon realized they would need more manpower to tackle the blaze, so they received help from the Mahopac Falls, Croton Falls, Carmel, and Yorktown Heights fire departments, the Carmel Police Department, and the Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. 3 Hospitalized After Car Strikes Pole In Region Three people were taken to a hospital following an early morning crash in the Hudson Valley.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Feb. 3 just before 4:30 a.m., when a car crashed into a pole on Croton Falls Road in Mahopac near the Westchester border, according to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.  Three people involved in the crash were taken to a hospital to be evaluated, firefighters said. The cause of the crash was not released.

3 Injured In Crash At Busy Intersection In Region A busy intersection in the Hudson Valley was shut down for nearly an hour following a two-car crash that left three people injured.  It happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Dec. 2 around 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of West Lovell Street and Union Valley Road in Carmel. Police and first responders soon arrived at the scene of the incident and found that three people had been injured. Rollover Crash: Car Flips On Side On Windy Roadway In Region A windy Hudson Valley road was briefly blocked by a flipped-over vehicle after a one-car crash, fire officials said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Sunday, Nov. 5 just before 7:30 a.m., when the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department responded to Union Valley Road for a single-car crash. According to the department, the car rolled over on its side as a result of the crash. Authorities have not revealed if any people were injured or the cause of the rollover.

Person Hospitalized After Crash In Front Of Home In Region A person was taken to a hospital following a serious crash in front of a Hudson Valley residence.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Mahopac. At around 3:45 p.m., the Carmel Police Department and Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department responded to the area of Mount Hope Road and Highridge Road for a reported car wreck.  According to the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department, the driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Westchester Medical Center for treatment.  The crash caused a temporary road closure on Mount Hope Road as authorities responde…
