Oops: Man's Shrooms, Weed Discovered After Fire Alarm At Capital Region Home, Police Say He would’ve gotten away with it, if it weren’t for that pesky fire alarm. A 34-year-old man from the region is facing felony drug charges after police allegedly uncovered illegal amounts of narcotics inside his home. The Saratoga County discovery, made in June 2023 but not made public until Thursday, Oct. 12, occurred at a Saratoga Springs home on Elm Street, according to Saratoga Springs Police. Man Charged With Bringing Drugs Into Region Prison During Visit: Police A Hudson Valley man is charged with trying to sneak illegal substances into a prison during a visit, police said.  On Monday, Oct. 31, 32-year-old Rockland County resident Joseph Garguilo III of Clarkstown brought a controlled substance into the Putnam County Correctional Facility in Carmel during a visit, according to Putnam County Sheriff Kevin McConville.  McConville said Garguilo was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 29, and charged with the following felonies:  Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; First-degree promoting prison contraband.  Garguilo …
