Gang Shooting In Region Not Targeted At Jewish Community, Police Say
Police in the region are stressing that an alleged gang shooting along a busy roadway was not targeting the Jewish community in any way. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 in Monticello in the area of Forestburgh Road and Hamilton Road. A preliminary investigation shows that a man driving a vehicle on Forestburgh Road stopped, got out of his car, and exchanged gunfire with another person walking along the shoulder of the northbound lane of the roadway, said Lt. Gang Member Found Guilty Of Brutal Street Assault In Region, Faces Sentencing: DA
A member of the 300 Bloodhound Brims street gang has been found guilty of a violent street assault in Westchester County. On June 17, 2021, around 9 p.m., 20-year-old Devin Coates, hit a 33-year-old victim in the head with a glass bottle and knocked them unconscious in Yonkers at North Broadway (Route 22), according to Westchester District Attorney Miriam Rocah.
