Nationwide Recall: Charcuterie Trays Sold At Costco, Sam's Club Linked To Salmonella Outbreak The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has ordered a recall of two different charcuterie meat trays after they were linked to a salmonella outbreak. Forty-seven people across 22 states have gotten sick with salmonella after eating the potentially contaminated meats, which are sold at Costco and Sam’s Club locations across the country, the CDC announced on Thursday, Jan. 18. Rockland County resident Derek Appiah, age 26, of Clarkstown, was last seen at around 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, when he set out to walk to his job at Costco, Clarkstown Police said. Long Island resident Gerome Fowler, age 32, of North Babylon in Suffolk County, was arrested Monday, Aug. 1 on multiple charges relating to the alleged scheme.
