Man Baits Cops Into Chasing Sports Car In Region, Caught When Engine Seizes
An 18-year-old man is facing the music after taunting officers and instigating them into chasing him across multiple counties in the Hudson Valley before he was eventually caught thanks to a seized engine, police said. The incident happened on Thursday, March 23 around 9 p.m., when two officers from the Carmel Police Department were assigned to a traffic detail at a large gathering in Putnam County on Route 6 in Mahopac.
