Bus Driver Charged After Rockland County Boy, 9, Hit By Truck, Police Say A Hudson Valley school bus driver has been charged with reckless endangerment after an investigation into a 9-year-old boy being hit by a truck after getting off the bus. Rockland County resident Edgar Hawkins, age 61, of Stony Point, was charged on Thursday, July 20, for the incident which took place on Tuesday, March 21 in Ramapo. According to Lt. 9-Year-Old Critically Injured After Being Hit By Truck In Rockland County A 9-year-old Hudson Valley boy who was hit by a pickup truck after getting off a school bus is in critical, but stable condition. The crash took place in Rockland County around 5:10 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, at Pioneer Avenue and North Airmont Road in the village of Montebello. A Ramapo PD officer on patrol was made aware of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
