21-Year-Old Killed In Fiery Greenburgh Crash
Police are investigating a fiery fatal crash in Westchester County. It happened around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, July 17 on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh. Responders were dispatched to mile marker 5.6 northbound for a report of a crash with a vehicle engulfed in flames. Greenburgh Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived prior to state troopers but were unable to extricate the victim, Paul A. Fitzpatrick, age 21, of Yonkers. New details have emerged in a fiery Westchester County crash that left one person dead. It happened around 11:45 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 17 in the area of Saw Mill River Road and Fieldcrest Drive in the Elmsford area of Greenburgh. According to Lieutenant Kobie Powell of the Greenburgh Police Department, a preliminary investigation indicated the vehicles involved, a Honda sedan and a fuel tanker, were engulfed in flames. A 34-year-old man was airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash. It happened around 11:20 a.m., Monday, Sept. 6, in Dutchess County on Route 9G in Red Hook. The man was driving a 1986 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Route 9G approaching the Rokeby Road intersection when he was hit by an Irvington woman driving a 2011 Toyota passenger car who failed to yield the right of way, according to the Red Hook Police. New York State Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle and fire of a gray 2021 Hyundai Sonata that left one dead in Stony Point to come forward with any information. The crash was discovered around 2 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, on the Palisades Parkway southbound at Exit 16 in the town of Stony Point, said Trooper Steven Nevel. First responders were dispatched to a Stillo Court home in Airmont at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, police said. Seven cars got burned nearly as bad as the New York Jets during Sunday's East Rutherford game against the Minnesota Vikings.
