Hudson Valley Man Indicted For Shooting Woman Sitting On Front Porch A man from the region has been indicted for the attempted murder of a woman who was sitting on her porch when six shots were fired. Ulster County resident Corey Marshall, age 34, of Kingston, was indicted by an Ulster County Grand Jury on Tuesday, Oct. 3 for the felonies of attempted murder, assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. 32-Year-Old Man Convicted Of Committing Violent Rape In Area A local man has been found guilty of committing a violent rape in 2019. Ulster County resident Andrew Sturgill, age 32, of the Village of Ellenville, was convicted on Tuesday, April 13, of unlawfully entering the victims’ home and having sexual intercourse with her while she was incapacitated, said Ulster County District Attorney David Clegg. It was the first jury trial conducted in the Ulster County Court since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Teen Who Was Father's Accomplice Sentenced For Fatal Robbery In Area Drug Deal That Went Bad An 18-year-old who took part as his father's accomplice in a robbery that left one man dead has been sentenced to five years in state prison with an additional five years of post-release supervision. Maurice Stansberry, Jr., 18, of Kingston, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 13, after pleading guilty in June to taking part in the robbery, said Ulster County District Attorney D. Holley Carnright.
