Congers Woman Due To Be Sentenced For Fatal Hit-Run The area woman who struck and killed a man before driving off late last year is scheduled for sentencing on Friday. Congers resident Jodi Sarf, who pleaded guilty in July to leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a death without reporting it, is due in court on Oct. 12, when she is expected to receive one year of probation and a fine. Clarkstown Has Two-Thirds Of Rockland Power Outages As trees continue to tumble and the snow settles in, the number of people without power in Rockland County continues to grow, including in Clarkstown where more than two-thirds of residents have no electricity.  According to Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehman, as of 1 p.m. Thursday, 9,000 people are without power in Clarkstown and 14,400 in Rockland County.  In addition, Orange and Rockland are reporting that some of the outages made last throughout the weekend, Hoehman said. Congers Woman Charged In Hit-Run Death Of New City Man A 48-year-old Congers woman has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a New City man late last month, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. Jodi Sarf, turned herself into the police Monday after a warrant was issued for her arrest following a lengthy investigation into the Dec. 19 incident that resulted in the death of Manuel Aguaiza, 40, said Clarkstown Officer Peter  Walker.
