Man, 42, Nabbed In Burglaries Of Rockland Synagogues, Police Say A man has been charged in connection with the burglaries of three Hudson Valley synagogues. Joel Jungries, age 42, of New York City, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in connection with the burglaries that took place over two weekends earlier this month in Monsey. According to Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police, Jungries illegally entered and stole property from the synagogues, all located on Monsey Boulevard and Suzanne Drive.  On Saturday, Jan. 20, Ramapo Police received reports that the two synagogues on Monsey Boulevard had been hit again, Franklin said.  The police depa…

Boy Hit By Cab In Monsey A 12-year-old boy was hit by a cab in Monsey, injuring his leg, according to Ramapo Police. The boy was struck around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday by a livery cab at the intersection of Suzanne Drive and Maple Avenue, police said. The child, who complained of pain in his right leg was treated and transported by Hatzoloh EMS to Nyack Hospital, police said.  No summonses or charges have been filed against the driver.

Officers from the Ramapo Police Department were busy on Monday afternoon, responding to the two pedestrian strikes, including one that sent a 7-year-old girl to the hospital with minor injuries.
