Man Critical After Jumping From Route 59 Overpass In Rockland A man is in critical condition after jumping from an overpass bridge in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:15 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 16 at Route 59 and Dutch Lane in Spring Valley. Duo Critical Following PIP Crash In Rockland Two people were critically injured in the Hudson Valley after swerving to avoid a large tree limb on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. The crash took place in Rockland County around 10:30 a.m., Sunday, July 30 on the parkway in Hillcrest, according to Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, the driver observed a large tree limb blocking the driving lane causing them to take evasive action to avoid striking the object. Person Hit By Train In Rockland County A person is in critical condition after being struck by a train in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place in Rockland County early Monday, July 10 at 1 Municipal Plaza in the village of Spring Valley. Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps responded to the scene and found that the person was heavily pinned under the New Jersey Transi train, which required a prolonged extrication. A Spring Hill Captain requested a Medevac helicopter due to the prolonged extrication, but due to the severe storms, it was unable to fly, the department said. Man Injured In Deck Collapse At Rockland Home, Police Say One person has been injured after a second-story deck collapsed in the Hudson Valley. The incident took place around 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 14 in Rockland County at a residential home in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo.   One 58-year-old victim was transported to the hospital by Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps & Rockland Paramedic Services, Ramapo Police said.
