New Bridge Construction To Close Rockland County Roadway For Months Rockland County drivers will need to find detours when construction begins on a new bridge in Rockland County. Snake Hill Road in West Nyack will be closed between Old Mill Road and Crusher Road beginning Tuesday, April 18 lasting into September, said the Clarkstown Police. The closure is due to a new bridge being constructed over the railroad tracks. Detour signs will be posted on Old Mill Road and Kings Highway.  Drivers should be prepared to use alternate routes of travel during this time.

Several Roads Closed Following Crash Between Car, Dump Truck In West Nyack Several roads in Rockland County are closed to traffic following a two-vehicle crash. West Nyack, Old Mill Road, and Snake Hill Road in West Nyack are closed due to the crash which involved a car and a dump truck.   The crash took place around 2:45 p.m., Monday, May 3, said Officer Norman Peters of the Clarkstown Police. The driver of the car receives a serious arm injury, said Peters. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. Clarkstown Police, the West Nyack Fire Department, and EMS are all on the scene. One Dead In Two-Vehicle Crash At Palisades Center Mall In West Nyack One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash at the Palisades Center Mall. It happened around 1:15 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, on Palisades Center Drive at the mall in West Nyack, said Clarkstown Police Department spokesman Officer Norman Peters. The cause of death is undetermined at this time, Peters said. Police are asking motorists to avoid the area of Palisades Center Drive, near the Snake Hill Road.  In addition, BJ's is closed due to the investigation as it will be for a period of time.
