Teen Caught In Foot Chase After Police Pursuit On Several Area Roads
A teen in a stolen car took police on a chase on multiple roadways before being nabbed following a foot chase with officers in Northern Westchester. The incident began just before 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, when the Real-Time Crime Center at county police headquarters alerted patrol units that a stolen Honda Civic was being driven southbound on Saw Mill River Parkway in Bedford, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Flooding On Four Westchester Parkways, I-684 Crash Snarl Evening Commute
This story has been updated. The Tuesday evening commute was a crawl for many in the area after a day filled with showers, heavy rain and flooding. Stretches of four of the most traveled parkways in the area were closed late Tuesday afternoon due to flooding and a crash on northbound I-684 blocked two lanes for about an hour. The I-684 crash was northbound at Route 35 (Exit 6) in Katonah with stop-and-go delays to Route 172 (Exit 4) through the late afternoon. DeCiccio's Family Market is the latest business to announce its imminent closure in the Orchard Square Shopping Center at the intersection of Route 35 and Route 121 north in the Town of Lewisboro hamlet of Cross River.
